Stanwood Elementary PTO invites you to join in for an adults only evening for the 15th annual Pacific Northwest dinner and auction! Enjoy a delicious catered dinner and dessert. There will be silent/live items to bid on all while supporting Stannwood Elementary School. Money raised at this event goes back to the classrooms, STEM, 5th grade camp, fun assemblies and programs to enrich the lives of every child at SES. On top of that, they are hoping to raise enough money to provide school supplies for every student for the 2019/20 school year and to purchase some additional playground equipment. Finding a balance between life, family, friends, and work can be incredibly difficult. In this workshop you will learn how to continue to do everything and manage to keep yourself in good health. Find out how to find time for yourself, strategies to maintain a healthy mental state, how to build healthy boundaries, what types of activities are most effective for taking care of you, and how to effectively manage stress. This workshop will be presented by Rick Pribbernow. It's always a good time to work on yourself, so grab your friends and join this workshop! EVERY CLASS PARTICIPANT RECEIVES A GIFT! There will be a children's program and a meal provided as well! Transportation is available for those who need it.

Would you like to become a Sound Water Steward? Maybe you are interested in learning how to protect and preserve your favorite beach. Maybe you are concerned about water quality, wildlife habitat, or conservation. Maybe you would like to better understand the island geology and biology of our marine environment. Or maybe you would like to join others who share a love of nature and a desire to give something back to our island community. The 2019 training program consists of at least 90 hours of expert educational sessions, guided field trips, and hands-on practice, plus an additional 10 hours of volunteer time during the summer. As a Sound Water Steward trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn a lot and contribute to your community. Membership applications are now being accepted for the upcoming 2019 class. Training sessions will be held on Thursdays from March 14th, 2019 to April 25th, 2019 and from September 12th, 2019 to October 24th, 2019 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. A $150.00 registration fee covers training materials and expenses. Now is your chance to make a difference! Don't miss the open house on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at 7:00 pm.
